GUYS Chikezie Eze Colton Berry Danny Noriega David Archuleta
David Cook David Hernandez Garrett Haley Jason Castro
Jason Yeager Luke Menard Michael Lee Johns Robbie Carrico
I like David Cook, and where are the African American males??? That guy from Delaware who auditioned in Philly was good, he should be in the Top 12!! I sure hope an African American male makes it to at least the Top 10 and beyond because we've been missing that male R&B/soul vibe - enough of these white boys trying to be R&B!
It's indeed a spoiler, Co. I got these and the girls as well from Rickey Forums and they got it from Idolforums. If there's truth to this, there we have them. Otherwise, please excuse.
We'll see how they do in the Hollywood week tomorrow. What a spoiler!

The rest were not even previewed, namely: Jason Yeager, Jason Castro, Garrett Haley, Luke Menard, Chikezie Eze.

My Little Coaching Tip: (if ever a contestant or would be contestant reads this)
Practice good breathing techniques - a must! Rest your voice at least 4 hours before show time. Pick great songs (more of pop/rock/jazz ballads or country ballads and the standards of course) that would show depth and breadth of your vocals, avoiding too many runs, unless you are the Brian McKnight or Mariah Carey type. Loosen up on stage. Move around with great, confident moves. Smile. Make eye contact. Be sincere. Memorize the lyrics. Do not appear awkward or shy, or too confident either. Don't try to please the judges or curse them out either, but make sure you are very pleased with your picked/assigned song arrangement.
Sell your self (your voice) in every song you pick. Choice of song is one major key. Do not overdo a classic song. Show some dancing skills if and when encouraged or required in the song. Easy on too much belting if you can't sustain your voice with the right amount of vibrato but you must apply a good control before finishing, avoiding monotous lines or shoutings. Feel your song. Apply drama to it, like telling a story. Improvise on heights or lows of the songs - transpose to other possible key combinations to make a new or better melody. Make the song your own. Be creative enough.
I was reading about the AI 6 Tour being not as successful as AI 5 for reasons that there were no "must see's", and so, there were not too many sold-outs seats, unlike the tour of Katharine's and company.
This year's top 24 seems to be all knowledgeable about music and some have had advanced experiences in the past.
Here's Kelly Clarkson, among an informal audience of american idol season one finalists, watching David Archuleta sing "And I am Telling You I'm Not Going".
David Archuleta is the prodigious boy from Utah!
AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 7 and the tour is a must see!!!....even Kelly Clarkson might show up! She wanted to have a picture taken with David, did you hear that? Kelly is a big fan of David Archuleta. WOW....
The most talented Top 24 ever.... the female headliner, and the pretty boy singer
i am so looking forward to Season 7, this is going to be almost a repeat of season 5, lots of talent. too early to pick who'll take it, but if young David Archuleta isn't at least in the top 3, something is wrong. i look for David to have some amazing performances during the season, hope i'm right.
lots of talent with the guys this year, Michael Johns, David Hernandez, Chikezie Eze, to name a few, a guy just might take it, we'll see....but the females aren't that bad either.....Kady Malloy, Amanda Overmeyer, Syesha Mercado, Kristy Lee Cook, almost forgot Asia'h Epperson, she did a hot version of I'm Going Down, these are just a few that i'm watching.
i really am happy though with the top 24, with the exception of about maybe 2 or 3, but it should be a good season to watch. definitely gotta see this AI tour this summer....
and still a big Katharine McPhee fan, who is also hoping she'd come out soon with another album. i'm sure it will happen.
We're still Katharine fans, Maddie, yes, of course.
I really am excited about this group of talented contestants. Whether they have been pro in the past or plain amateurs, they seem to add luster to a show that we have learned to like or love. Where else could we have known Katharine if not for AI?
So, I'll see you around then. Ciao.
I'm trying to keep this thread afloat. If there's anything ppl can read on this site, they would have found it at the KFM site.
