Catch Kat in The House Bunny in theaters nationwide NOW! fandango.com
I know I caused a major stir some weeks ago, citing Wikipedia for announcing that Kat had left RCA. It turned to be true anyway.
Now Wikipedia says that Kat signed a deal with Warners yesterday, but if it's true, it didn't happen imo during one day.
I really hope that's 100% true and what a future waits for Kat. First of all David Foster who really adore her! Making her second CD and songs written by him and his daughter. WOW!
2008 will be year of C (K)ATWOMAN!!
I don't see anything like this on Kat's wiki page. Not that it would mean anything anyway. When something is announced it will come from a more reliable source than Wiki.
I just read an interesting and kind article about Kat leaving RCA. Here's the link and a very interesting quote from it....hmmmm....rumors starting to congeal in the press???

So what’s next for Katharine? Well, she’s in talks with another undisclosed label, and she’ll be starring in the upcoming film “I Know What Boys Like.” Not too shabby!
Gossip Girls
I don't know if it was meant to be mean or hurtful GB. After all, it didn't say she wasn't good, just that she isn't commercial. And I don't have a problem with that. I mean, if I wanted to listen to Britney or Fergie, I wouldn't necessarily be a Kat fan. Neither Eva Cassidy nor Jane Monheit are mainstream. Nor are a great many other wonderfully talented singers singers and musicians. In fact some would agrue that the absolute best artists are never mainstream.
So RCA was just stating that they don't have any interest in any talent other than Top 40 mainstream commercial mega-acts. No wonder I have so few RCA CDs in my collection!
^Right Ken, it just might have been a case of the"You can't quit, you're fired!" mentality.
