Exciting things are happening for her in 2008. Here's wishing Kat fans everywhere, the very best in the New Year!!
My vid was taken of Kat's awesome performance this past summer when she performed at the Special Olympics of Northern California at UC Berkeley.

Now that's what I call fireworks in those blends above. If only every city had the budget to blow up that many on New Year's Eve. I guess the only ones that do are the Space Needle up in Seattle and maybe NYC--even though the Big Apple mostly does that for the Fourth of July. And I hope Kat would wear ear protection if she ever does a New Year gig with that many fireworks going off right over her head.
Well, here's a Happy New Year wish to all my friends (and lurkers alike) here on KMF. I'm doing it now because I'll be away until after the 1st. It's been an interesting year in the aspects of being a member in the Kat community and enjoying the trajectory of Kat's career. While we can still say that Kat's a superstar who's yet to become a superstar--it seems she's satisfied with how everything went this year. After all, she managed to learn a lot from her debut album, make her first movie and found herself being highly respected by Hollywood old and new. It was perhaps more of a learning year for her--if still earning a lot of monetary rewards for being ubiquitous in magazines and working for Madison Avenue.
It's also gratifying to see that KMF managed to escape a trend of going by the wayside through the last half of this year. Most people here would probably admit that things were stagnating for a while--and I started to see a shorter horizon for the survivability of this site for a while. Again, a huge thanks to Chad for all his work in '06...and being astute in picking the equally astute Bill for taking over the reigns. Now, things have improved here exponentially with a strong future for hopefully years to come.
Of course, we all have our personal tales of what went right and wrong this year. I won't elaborate on mine--because some of you already know some of those details. I'm looking forward to advancing my own dream career prospects in 2008 as well as making other things better. Plus, KMF will still be a place I'll visit at least once a week through the coming year.
By the way: Yeah, Kat needs to find herself hosting a New Year's show next year. Since Ryan Seacrest is Dick Clark's successor on "Rockin' New Year's Eve"--I'd say she has a good chance of hosting that next year. The deal is, though, the L.A. segments are pre-taped three weeks in advance. That means Kat having to pretend to be having fun on New Year's Eve, which I guess is good to sharpen the acting skills.
Happy New Year! Katharinefans
Where in the world did this year go It seems it passed so fast But here we are...2008 And 2007 is in the past!
A Toast May peace and love fill the earth May past sorrows fade away May the New Year bring joy to all On each and every day.
Happy New Year to everyone I hope your dreams come true A heart that's filled with happiness Is the wish I wish for you!
What a beautiful post Amanda!!!
A very Happy New Year to you, your dad, and all the fans reading this.
Same here.... I know I've been "out of pocket" for the last several weeks, but I should be back full time again, now that the Holidays are just about over.
