thanks minnie
That's very cool Minnie! Same to you!
Nicely done Amanda!
Merry Christmas , everyone in the Kat world.
I've been glued to Katharine's version of OCAYF since last night, and I tell you, her voice is amazing. I love the powerful, big, deep, matured-cultured, rich tone and sound of her voice. I'm really crazy about it. It's even smoky in spots. Whoow! This song personifies her voice perfectly well. Just imagine how she would sound in 10 years. If her voice is wine and can be packed in individual bottles, it would probably auction now at $300 per bottle, so in 10 years, it would be at $3000 per bottle. I'm just trying to make some cute sense here, you see, if you will. Sarah Vaughan would be delighted to hear another big voice. As opposed to what other people say that her voice is screechy at times when she reaches for the high register, you really have to appreciate her voice in different arrangements. It's not like it's Patti LaBelle's, no, don't go there now. No offense intended here, just illustrating. And I'm sure the critics will agree with me sooner or later. Merlot or Burgundy, I would love an age-old glass of red wine right now while listening to Kat's OCAYF, CD and Idol songs. It's heaven! Hey Kat, happy holidays to you and thanks for your music. I'm living.
I was completely blown away. Listen to this song after listening to another female artist's version of OCAYF and you will realize the big disparity. In my case, I listened first to Trisha Yearwood's (and I love TY's voice, understand) version then to Kat's version, and I was just floored with Katharine's. Especially, when you're using a high-end SONY digital headphones or blasting your BOSE speakers in the car. I'm very much taken, you see. I put it on my page - go there and try. myspace.com/mattsie2
Enjoy your holidays, folks.
Whaaat no comments about "Kat and Friends".....
Fabulous holiday card! I am so envious of you Amanda and your Dad's creative skills. Thank you.
Mattsie, I too luv Kat's "OCAYF" which Is also posted on my space, Groucho. Check it here: http://www.myspace.com/min8nie
Hey Amanda, excellent job on these creations! Thanks....to your dad too!!
Hi Minnie, I think I stole that picture from your space or somewhere and resized it then put it on my own space. I have to give credit to you or whoever made that poster picture with Kat's name and OCAYF. Thanks again!
Keefir, yes, I do get an amplification from the site using these new headphones I got for Christmas (in advance). I burned the song too and I play it in the car, and everywhere. My old prize possession german branded equalizer could still perform its duty along with the 6 speaker Harman Kardon system that I got for my 30th birthday, so the sexy-smoky tones are very crisp and clear to my ears. I haven't down-sized yet into these powerful mini components. I still got the whole spread of the big clunky caboodle of heavy audio equipments. But hey, Katharine's song are in it and that's all that it really plays all the time.
Groucho, sorry about your trouble. My page is a little bit too loaded with video graphics but once you get past the beach background, the page will finish faster from there. This happens when you use internet explorer. Firefox is usually faster and I use it for my browser all the time. If you've been surfing long try rebooting first before you visit my page because you would be needing a lot of memory to load those graphics.
Make sure you got the address right. Enjoy.

Katharine looks so much like Jaclyn Smith in that picture, Minnie. How do some people get so blessed with awesome DNA? But, we all must be grateful for who we are as we are all God's children and our hearts should be filled with & for "Each Other!"
Happy Holidays to all Kat fans, and may your holidays be blessed with much peace and joy and gratefulness.
Hi Minnie!
LOL. I wonder how Kat's parents and Nick feel about being upstaged by David Foster and Kat's 2 canines...
Merry Christmas to everybody at katfans.com! Mattsie . you should drink red Bordeaux when listening to Katharine. In Bordeaux wine you have all, roundness, complexity, great curves, beautiful fragrance, great style, finesse and grace. Does this descriptions remind of someone? You're right -
If her voice is wine and can be packed in individual bottles, it would probably auction now at $300 per bottle, so in 10 years, it would be at $3000 per bottle
. For me Kat is like vintage 2005 in Bordeaux - simply perfect in every way!!! Actually I put a picture of Kat on my website www.greatbordeauxwines.com and I would love to find out if she drinks red/white wine and what region is her favourite. Hope some of Kat addicts here will ask her about this. Recently I discovered this fantastic acoustic versions of Over It and Love Story at youtube - this a true proof of how fantastic she's live and what an angelic voice she has. This is a heavenly treat for eyes and ears, and 99.9% of people who saw these clip are simply raving about these. If you check out videos at stage6, there're an extra dimension to Kat songs - not only videos are of stunning quality but the sound is terrific.
That isn't David Foster.

Hey Katfan07, I like your spirit! Great site you got. Merry Christmas to you too. Thank you.
To me, Katharine is a 1978 Romanee Conti; a Petrus, or a 1945 Mouton Rothschild.
For now, Clos Du Val 2000 Napa Valley Merlot is my favorite. It's great tasting and affordable.
BTW, have you heard about a bottle of 1787 Lafite from Bordeaux that sold for $160,000? It belonged to Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd US President. Yes, it was the most expensive single bottle french wine, but it was not drinkable anymore.
ENJOY YOUR CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE.
HAPPY CELEBRATING AND SAFE DRINKING!!
Yikes, that Elfyourself thing from OfficeMax is downright scary as well as becoming too common on the net. And, yes, I couldn't resist using my own pic as well as others on that thing just to see the embarrassing results. No, I won't gladly share the results with you. Also, I hear the Jib Jab site has something similar and more complex.
Without digressing: Here's a wish for a happy and meaningful Christmas season for you, too, Minnie (thanks for the MySpace card ) and all my longtime friends here. I'm starting to see plenty of evidence now that Kat is becoming a true emblem of the Christmas season when it comes to music and philanthropy. Since music and giving are two of the most essential elements to the holiday season--she's taking both to higher levels that most notable people just can't always manage as hard as they try. The spirit of giving is undoubtedly there in spades (I think a lot of celebs do it in private)--but, musically, I think we've learned Kat's taking traditional and religious Christmas music to a level that isn't supposed to exist a whole lot in our time. It gives faith in talent still having some DNA left from the past where greatness existed...and seemingly couldn't be superseded by anyone else.
All you need to prove that is watch Kat's "Christmas in Washington" performances again. She has that classic quality that just isn't there in other singers in her demographic. It's almost eerie--even if she's unassuming about it. Now millions will watch her on Christmas morning on ABC and hear her sing that ethereal medley of classic Disney tunes. If that doesn't make Kat the next female Bing Crosby or Andy Williams--then I don't know what does. Let's just hope she doesn't wear a red sweater on her future Christmas album cover--though the proverbial family sing-a-long is mandatory.
Anyway, here's hoping everybody here is doing great and intent on having fun with family and friends through the holiday weekend. I see at least two Kat regulars here are in Hawaii for Christmas (Laurie and Bill to be exact)--so Mele Kelikemaka to you--three hours ahead!
Looks like Bill passed on all the Christmas cards we sent again to the McPhees--and may Kat and family have another year of meaningful celebration...
Hey Mattsie, Thanks for your joyful replay! Actually I prefer to compare Kat to younger wines - she hasn't peaked yet and isn't fully mature. But I also understand your choices to compare. My favourite region in wine is Bordeaux and I also adore sweet wines (stickies) from there. Is Kat the legendary Château d'Yquem in disguise? Might be. Yes I heard of this 1787 Lafite, but isn't it a fake? Anyway, HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE.
This is an angel - how stunningly beautiful she is.
Happy Holidays to Kat too - may 2008 be a year of your complete breakthrough!!
WOW
She is a genuine beauty. Where/when was this?
The face alone will be worth millions on beauty and fashion magazines for years to come.
Plus the singing, the dancing, and the acting, and altogether, you have the real triple threat that Hollywood has never yet seen in many years. Steven Spielberg (or another director) and David Foster must come up with a spectacular movie-musical soon. Kat is turning 24 in March.
BTW, I noticed that YouTube has gone the Myspace route, so I tried my hand on it. Check it out. myspace.com/mattsie2 youtube.com/ntzalc
WELCOME BACK, lin! I hope you're feeling better!
