Amanda that would be amazing! Or even Ne Yo. IMO the greatest Disney Movie of all time. Hey no other Disney film was ever nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

i can't even pronounce McGroban but I'd love it! I don't think they'll reach as far back as Cinderella, too much good Disney since then. But then what the heck, somebody might decide the Rainbow girl and Cinderella fits together in some inexplicably esoteric way.

Great! Definitely up Kat's alley, for better or worse. (I've read of female performers of a certain style being called "Disney princesses" in a derisive manner, although I kind of like that style.) Can't wait to hear what Kat sings.

San Diego fans will get to see Kat twice on Christmas - the Mother Goose parade will be on TV immediately before the Disney broadcast!

Maybe not,although Over the Rainbow was reaching much further back and look what happened with that!Would love to hear Kat and Josh doing the Beauty and the Beast duet...that would be spectacular!! It will be so exciting just to hear Kat singing a Disney song!

Evidently Josh taped at Disneyland and K. was not there. She'll probably do the Disney World program. No McGroban. This is a third hand report so take it for what it is.

What, the Disneyland part was taped already? I hope Kat likes flying...

Are any of these performances actually sung live? The (few) times I've peeked into previous broadcasts, everybody appeared to be lip-synching.

Nope, Disneyworld is in Orlando, Florida. Disneyland is in Anaheim, California, a reasonable drive from her current home.

I get them turned around, I guess. My understanding is that each place was pre-taping on a different day and the whole thing would be aired on December 25, and assumed that K. would be in the one closest to home, whatever the heck that is.

'Dancing' contestants to perform for Disney Christmas parade

(11/28/07 - NEW YORK) - Joey Fatone and Drew Lachey will be dancing for you on Christmas Day.

They will be performing with others from "Dancing With The Stars" in front of Cinderella's Castle to open the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade on ABC.

 

They'll be dancing to a medley of holiday songs sung by Jon Secada. Miley Cyrus, Josh Groban, The Jonas Brothers, Patti LaBelle, Katharine McPhee and Jessica Simpson will also perform.

The Christmas in DC thing is airing on December 12.  I think somebody said it's getting taped on the weekend of December 8-9.  So I guess we know where Katharine will be the next two weekends.  Disneyland this weekend, White House next weekend.

Okay, so I pretty much answered my own question! I'll be watching the EXTRA and Entertainment tonight shows to see if they feature her at all. I'm sure they will be covering more of it than just Dancing With the Stars!

No, not this time. I think it was When You Wish Upon A Star, Beauty And The Beast, A DReam Is A Wish Your Heart Makes... oh crud, I can't remember them all. There are a couple of threads at IDF with all this stuff--videos, pictures, fan review--I know some of it has made its way over here. Oh yeah, A Whole New World. I hope this opens up a whole new world when somebody realizes she'd be perfect for some Disney soundtracks.
