Saw in our "Latest News" courtesy Whittier Daily News an article that shows Kat continuing her charity events works. I don't know if she performed but the article does lend itself to make me think she did. It's a lengthy article but maybe someone else can "pick" through it and do a little "detective work" to find out what and if she did perform. It definitly featured the elite "Old Guard" of Hollywood.
I think Katharine is doing herself a great service in continuing to give of her time and talents to all these worthy event. It makes me really proud to be one of her many fans! She truly is showing the big heart that we all know her to have. And, obviously, the intelligence that she uses in how she spends her time!
Just love, love, love that girl!!!
Do you have the article available, Moms? Hopefully if it's on the fanclub board--someone can cut and paste it here, unless an alarm goes off if someone does.
October, November and December seem to be the biggest times of the year for Kat to get involved in these charity events. We thought last year was huge--but she's increased it exponentially this year. And I'm glad these functions are bringing the elite of the old and new generations out to see Kat at her best. I'm particularly happy to see the older crowd from Hollywood getting a chance to see Kat as the true future hope for continuing the classy side of that town. Bridging the gap between the old and current stars of Hollywood should be a satisfying feeling for Kat--because appreciating the past only helps make Hollywood future even better. It helps stars like Kat become more in tune to what came before so a little bit of that can survive...as well as knowing what not to do with Hollywood mistakes of the past. Yes, Hollywood wasn't filled with angels by any means in the old days...
It seems David Foster had a lot of control in what Kat performed at these events. Obviously, he was the brainchild behind having Cody Karey sing with Kat on "The Prayer" in front of an influential audience. Say what you want about DF's studio abilities--but he knows how to pair up the right people for live performance duets and make magic happen. He's also a marketing whiz with his Foster Children. Getting your name on the map couldn't be made any easier than singing with Katharine McPhee during your first live performance. It works even better if you don't look like while you're doing it, too...
Here you go Greg! It is on our board in case I messed up. Look on the tab "Latest News."
