According to Good Day LA this morning, Monday 5/22, Kat is singing SOTR!

Good choice, she got this labeled as the best performance of the season. This is gonna get her mad points. Hope she sings it last!

It all depends, she has to sing it at least as good as the first, but hopefully (somehow) better. As far as BHCT im not so sure i would have picked it, but she will do great. BUT remember that these are just rumors we wont know for sure until Tuesday. The producers are trying to keep a very tight lid on the songs this week.

ehh I was hoping she wouldn't do SOTR again.. when you get it absoultely prefect the first time you shouldn't attempt it again. If she messes up at all Simon will be all over her :s

I think that is she hits the right notes just a bit better (if possible) she can do it. But she should do it standing up this time. With just a single light shining down on her and the mic stand.

Honestly guys...I would have prefer she sang other song. There are so many beautiful songs that are proper for her voice. For example, a Bryan Adams song. If she is going to sing SOTR should be standing.

Another rumor says they have to pick from top 12 to top 4, pushing the choices back a bit. A lot of people are just starting to watch the last couple of weeks. Seems smarter to me to have contestants sing something people haven't just seen, give them a fresh taste of what they can do. We already know she can do Rainbow like nobody's business. She's got to find something like it without being it. And we dont' even know for sure if it's two repeat songs or one repeat and one personal choice, do we?

Gosh, I sure hope she does SOTR and Black Horse, her performances of those were favs even among NON Kat fans!!! By the way, does anyone know that KT Tunstall's album doubled in sales the week after Kat sang her song (Black Horse)? LOL, I'd say Kat did an outstanding job.

Remember that Nigel said Kat is singing a song "like Over the Rainbow". I don't think he would of said that if she *is* singing SOTR.

I think that SOTR is too perfect and too soon, like somebody said, if she miss a note simon will be all over her.

I think she should sing "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "Come Rain or Come Shine" again. And if she does sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" again, she shouldn't sing "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" because both performances are fairly recent and FRESH in viewer's minds. She needs to remind everyone that shes been great this entire season.

I think she will sing "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree". She won't do 3 ballads, so at least one is an upbeat song. She did "Think" last week and "Bringing Out The Elvis" didn't get very good reviews from the judges (I love it very much though ), so yeah... I'm ready to see her singing BHATCT on the knee again.

The Final 'Idol' Showdown!


Will it be twinkle-toes TAYLOR or the California KAT? Tonight at 8, "American Idol"'s final two, KATHARINE McPHEE and TAYLOR HICKS, will sing three songs each in the last volley of performances to determine the new "American Idol" and only we can tell you what they are!

"Taylor is doing 'Levon,' the ELTON JOHN song, STEVIE WONDER's 'Living For the City' and what will be his new single if he makes it," says executive producer KEN WARWICK. "It is a song called 'Do I Make You Proud.' Katharine will sing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow,' which she was just fabulous with last week. It is probably the song that put her in the finals, to be honest. Also, 'Black Horse and Cherry Tree,' and her single is called 'My Destiny,' quite appropriate really."

The fans will be on their feet tonight and cheering right alongside them will be Hollywood A-listers TERI HATCHER, DAVID BOREANAZ, JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT , EMILY DESCHANEL, MIMI ROGERS, CAMRYN MANHEIM , BRIAN WILSON, ADRIAN GRENIER and SHANNON ELIZABETH.

With all this newfound pressure, even the talented twosome aren't sure who will come out on top.

I think she has to find a way to recapture the essential magic or character or feel of both songs like she did before, but with a different selling point. I've been reading around a lot, and I'll bet there hasn't been so much buzzing about somebody being on their knees since Sir Lancelot was knighted.

I hope she does not come back with Over the Rainbow and if she does there is a different version that would also be good...Its to early to come back with that song...Been connected with a Marching Band that won 17 staright state Championships in the National Division and realize the importiance of timing and she already it Over the Rainbow out of the park, she should keep that in the vault.

I really want her to win but I fear this would be a costly mistake...Ask Bo he knows he errored last yr...learn form other mistakes and imporve on what is considered a weak song and perfect it

I'm not worried. Katharine is fearless in her song choices and her performances. She holds nothing back. If she hit a homerun with SOTR last time, she'll hit a grand slam this time.
