I just picked this up from the AI Kat board. It appears that Simon was on "Fox and Friends" this morning. Here's what he said about the finale:


Exclusive interview at his new house.
Simon - 'Who's going to win, the technically better singer Katharine or the one who appeals to middle America, Taylor.
Taylor and I'll tell you why, Taylor goes home and a million people show up, Katharine goes homes and gets half a gymnasium.'

I don't think Simon understands the difference between Birmingham and Los Angeles, has he ever been to Alabama, probably not.

You would think that Simon would understand that a smalltown boy from Hoover, Alabama would have just a slightly larger welcome back reception (entailing the entire town and county) than a local beauty from L.A.

I never even heard of Hoover, AL until last week. He put that town on the map.

Yes, small towns get very excited when someone from around there makes it big. The entire area around Checotah, OK is still painted with Carrie Underwood's face and name. We can prove Simon wrong and show that Kat has support from ALL OVER America! VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, McPhans! =)

 If JADED was in the final 2, I am sure all of Arkansas would rise up and hook it up for her. lol.

3/4 of the population of LA probably don't even watch AI. In their minds, who the heck cares if she is walking around there. There are a million and one celebrities walking around in LA. She is an unknown. So, what does LA care?

LOL...I guess that is why America's perception of her hometown support seemed kind of weak.. A star is born in hollywood/L.A. every day.

It is very true, and I confess that I was one of them before this season. I didn't know who Carrie and Bo were until the finale when everyone was talking about them in the radio.  And I didn't know Kelly Clarkson was originated from AI. Haha.... how ignorant I was before. I really thank Kat for bringing me up to date on AI. But I'm not sure if I'll be like that again next year because Kat won't be there anymore.

Simon has not had the best prediction success rate so far this season....let's hope he keeps up his inaccurate predictions...and although I haven't figured him out...he may actually be trying to help Kat out by making her the underdog...even Simon knows how close the voting results were last week...so his comment on the amount of people that attended the respective 'home town' events doesn't make sense...tonight's voting will be very close...if Kat 'sticks' each performance....I think she will win.

Yeah!, Simon doesn't know that the whole world is supporting Kath. And if I were there I'd showed up at the gymnasium. But the best I can from here is to vote.

I live in the Philippines,but If I'm in the US especially CA,I don't care if I have to drive 10 hours or fly whatever!!
