OK guys, the response has been very positive, so here's the final draft proposal and signup sheet  for a 1 year anniversary commemoration project:

What:
We present Kat with a large bouquet of roses and a note saying how much money was donated to Kat's Outreach program, and listing the participants. The note will read:

"In commemoration of  the 1 year anniversary of your appearance in the American Idol season 5 finale, the following loyal KatPackers and McPhans have donated $xxxx to your Outreach Program"
When:
The B104 concert next Friday May 25th at Allentown PA. This is a great time because Kat is headlining at this show, and it's a small market...so it probably won't be very hard to formally make arrangements with B104 ahead of time to assure access to Kat. Maybe they'll even allow us to make the presentation on the stage!

Who:
I will be there, and will represent all of you as katharinefans.com admin. We also have a number of other McPhans from the area attending the show, so maybe we can present as a group. PLUS: I have 2 extra tickets and room in my car for any NJ McPhans not yet going to the show!

How:
Because of the short time, I will take email pledges.  The total amount of the pledges will be written on the card presented to Kat. Then I will wait 1 week from the show  (June 1st) to send the donation to Kat's Outreach. This will give you from now until June 1st to get me the funds to cover your pledge, either by PayPal or by snailmail if ou prefer to send me a check, money order, gold bullion, etc.

Please PM me for either my PayPal info or my snailmail address.

How Much:
I really hate to set a minimum because I'd like everyone to participate, but I think we all should be able
to afford at least $5.


I am going to set an obtainable goal of $5000, and I'll start the party off by pledging $100 myself.
I will announce the total each evening this week, so keep checking in every day!  Thursday will be the final day to sign up.

Note:
Although you are free to publicly announce your pledge, please  don't feel that you need to. This
isn't a competition, it's from our hearts for Kat and the Outreach kids. But I would appreciate it if you can tell everyone you're participating by posting below.

One Final Note:
This project is open to any and all McPhans, and I encourage the participation of IDF members, McPhee Club members, AI board members, and anyone else that happens to love our wonderful Ms McPhee as we do. Please spread the word!

I've posted this at IDF and the McPhee Club. The KPST should know about the project through KMF members. And as I mentioned in the OP, feel free to spread the word anywhere there are Kat Phans!
