Ever wonder why most of these fan pics catch Kat looking down as she's signing stuff?  All the fan encounter stories talk about how personable she is, and how she's always excited to meet her fans.  It just seems like most of the pictures don't really capture that.  I guess I can't blame the photographers.  I'm sure they're plenty nervous and excited, and can't really be focusing on taking good shots..er, not that these aren't good.  You know what I mean.  Or maybe it's just me?

Because I don't think they are comfortable asking Katharine to stop and take a picture for them.  So they snap her while she's with other people.  There's not that much time during this kind of thing and when you get to the front of the line.  Maybe they don't let her take pictures like that because it takes too much time?  Who knows?  These autograph sesssion are usually pretty hectic from my experience with other people.  She can't very well be signing one autograph and looking up for a picture at the same time.  And if she was signing 400 autographs...and it was cold & rainy.  Don't want people to wait too long.  Keep 'em happy.

I mean she's hugging people in some of these pictures!  I don't think it's got anything to do with her not being personable.

No no, that's not what I mean.  I know for a fact she is very personable.  And I know how hectic these things can get.  My point was that there don't seem to be near as many pics taken when she's looking up talking to people.  The person taking the picture isn't usually the one Kat is tending to at the moment.  I'm just being picky, not really complaining, just making an observation.  If I was in my right mind I would try to take the picture when she's looking up so you can see her eyes, but of course that's a big if.

That photo gives the impression Kat's in Hawaii there--and someone gave her a lei to wear. And, no, you better not make a joke out of that.

At least the thought of Kat being in Hawaii is interesting--especially because Steve (Mutt) would finally be photographed with Kat (presumably) and end the mystery of our resident KMF (now McPheeClub) mystery person.

Again, thanks for the photos.  And (yes, again)--there's some unique performance shots there. Kat's really being more demonstrative (or is it histrionic?) during her shows now. We're seeing her waving her hair around and giving the impression that she's jumping around the stage like someone running on twenty cups of Starbucks coffee. Of course, she's always been energetic in her live performances. But Kat's doing some new moves and things here that's taking her to a new level in a great stage performer. She's truly at home on a stage.

Interesting that the curtain there looks like a curtain you'd see in a Broadway theatre or other swanky performance hall. Here Kat's looking like a rock star in those photos...and, for the first time, the curtain and the performer look incongruous somehow.

By the way, it's good Kat's introducing her backup singers/dancers now during the show. These girls are different (I presume) from the backup singers she had before--and they may be sticking with her a while. I just wonder now if her original band configuration won't be with her any longer? I guess they tested the waters and made the adjustments necessary to see what worked and what didn't. She seems to have good chemistry with those two girls if she doesn't perform with the others ever again.

Edit: Screw-ups on m&g's are a longstanding problem with lots of artists. They need lots of organization to work right...hence why many of them are so militaristic and frequently treat the greeters like cattle. I'm sure Kat's people will work everything out before this tour is over...

I think at this point she needs dancers more than singers?
If they won't give her a band, it's nice she gets some kind of backup.
Like she said in that one interview, talking about Fergie's entourage, "someday that's gonna be me."

^What a beautiful photoshoot...that appeared to be just spontaneous while Kat was at Zootopia. Thanks for finding all of those.  Amazing how she can just walk into a room and do a stylish photoshoot at the blink of an eye. Forget about spending two hours in the makeup chair--unless Kat wants to dress up in retro clothes and makeup again.

It's good to see performance shots with Kat that look a bit different from the ones we're used to seeing before. The choreography she does seems to translate into looking like she's doing a rock show there for some reason. All the hair-flinging and everything only happen for a split second. But now Kat looks like a wild woman up on that stage. Kat moves so fast, though, that it's a wonder it isn't all a blur as many of us got on the tour last summer. I was fortunate to get shots of her in movement without looking like Miss Flash just zoomed on by.

Looks like it's time for to swipe one of these and make a new avatar. Though I took one of her posing with back to camera on the last line of 'Feelin' Good' that I may use for something different.
