We are being accused of bot voting. 

A certain group of another idol fanbase have been reading KMF..in particular a post that was posted a couple months back on how to multi-vote for Kat.  Here is the link.

ignore. ir was posted by rabid chris fans making fools of themselves. Their language in other posts about kat is crude and very humanly insensitive. i wouldn't be surprised that other fan bases might be voting for kat (like soul patrol) in protest to such attacks.

i saw those posts several days ago. my guess is that vh1 has heard of this junk talk often in the past from unhappy fans whose favorite wasn't voted as high as their expectations. these posts you are pointing out also were posted prior to the announcement that kat made #1.

I'm not going to go over to that message boards anymore. I think the best thing we can do is vote even harder for her, so she can make it to #1 again. Let them say that we're bot voting. The reason she's been #1 twice so far is because we're voting harder for her than they are for Chris. I'm just going over there to vote for Katharine and that's it.

I agree with you.  While they're over there making dumb and rude posts about us and Kat, we will be over there voting, something that actually helps Kat, unlike them, who are just shooting their mouths off and not helping Chris or whoever they like.  In my opinion, it's their loss.

The only concern I have with this is that it has spread to AI, to other Daughtry fan sites and some over on the AI site are claiming that nothing Kat achieves will be considered legitimate by them ever again because of this. The DO claim to be free from "bot" use which as we all know is a lie because every fanbase uses them and the sites actually encourage theiir use because it helps with their advertising revenue. But I guess my point is that we need to watch everything we post as it amazes me that we have spies from other fanbases coming here to check up on our activities. I personally have never used them and I would believe that if they are being used here that it is no more common than by any other fan base. But they are taking what is an approved from of voting and accusing os of cheating for Kat. It's ridiculous but very disturbing to know that the competition for them at least has not ended.

Folks we are being spied on by jealous, over zealous fans who are intending to hurt Katharine McPhee and her career. It is disturbing but we have to be aware of it.

JUST KEEP ON VOTING!!Bashing Kat has been something Daughtry fans have done since he got booted off. When will they get OVER IT. Katharine and Chris are great friends, they should do the same. Any site that allows multiple voting of any variety has pretty plainly stated their intention to run up large vote quantities, for whatever reason. Some sites give you a message that states something like "Hi there. Didn't you just vote?" and that's it. You're out of luck until whatever their parameters are have been met. So there are obviously ways to intervene if they want to. If they don't, everyone else should just be quiet and vote-vote-vote!

I've been here long enough to remember the Idol days, and the first mention of some of these multi-vote systems came over here from other fan sites. At the very least, we didn't start it, so a little less pontificating would be appreciated.

i still haven't looked at the bashing, but who cares. lol as long as kat is doing well that's all that matters. and the more time we spend voting and not even noticing or looking at the comments of fans of other idols the better. they can talk all the smack they want to but hey, KAT IS #1! so that's all we need.

Sorry, but the truth is...there will never be world peace and this is a perfect example as to why. Just ignore the haters and love the lovers. Don't waste your time letting some angry people get you worked up so that you stoop to their level...stay cool    and don't join the fools     (sorry couldn't resist a little corny poetry!!)

She was getting very high on their chart and then fell dramatically the week before last. She's picked up a bit but we can get her back near the top if people just remember to vote there.
