On the Scene: Young Hollywood Awards

Hilary and Katharine were red carpet standouts!

Hot off the red carpet -- it's brand-new gossip from Katharine, Hilary and all of young Hollywood!

Young Hollywood was out in droves last night -- and our THEA ANDREWS was in the middle of the starlet madness with queens of the scene HILARY DUFF, KATHARINE McPHEE and KATHERINE HEIGL.

The glamour girls were all out in support of Hollywood Life's Young Hollywood Awards -- honoring stars in movies, TV and music, like LUDACRIS, DANE COOK and DAKOTA FANNING.

Hilary showed up in one of the hottest trends for spring -- a golden baby doll dress by ELIE SAAB -- while Katharine McPhee was stunning in a sequined, black gown. Katherine Heigl was another style standout, looking classic in a red, knee-length dress with her gorgeous blonde locks pinned up.

'Accepted' star JUSTIN LONG served as hot host of the event, where awards like "Breakthrough Performance" and "Exciting New Face" were handed out.

Katharine McPhee received the Exciting New Vocalist honor from "Idol" judge RANDY JACKSON, while Hilary Duff presented Ludacris with Today's Superstar award. Katherine Heigl walked away with the coveted Superstar of Tomorrow title, given to her by "Grey's Anatomy" pal T.R. KNIGHT. T.R. also gave us a clue about what to expect on the "Grey's" finale: "I'm sure there's going to be some sort of cliffhanger for somebody!"

I tried to rip the video but it is protected and won't download into a complete file. So let's hope that this material is repeated on the television version of ET and then it's likely that diff will get it in HQ, if not I'll ask trippy11 to take a crack at getting that stream.

Not that it really matters cause its pretty much the same thing just less of an interview but Katharine was also on Extra talking about her Young Hollywood award in case you guys wanted to hunt it down.

So excited to see all the positive press about Kat from the Young Hollywood Awards!! Not only did she LOOK fabulous but she was being honored for her ability as a singer. That's a great combination! Congratulations Kat!!
