I was just on the AI Katharine board posting in a thread about people getting banned for no reason, and when I submitted my post the thread was gone! They aparently banned me over there and I hardly ever post. The only thing I can think of is I invited PolyPhon and GregoreanCant  to bring their extremely interesting musical Kat discussion to katharinefans. What's wrong with that?

They seem to be deleting threads and posts right and left today. Everyone over there is freaking. And to delete the roses thread doesn't make any sense either. The mods sure don't seem like Kat fans to me.

Aaahhh.....that explains why the moderator on a different forum deleted my post with links to Josh's 2 "McMegaMix" mp3s.

Since it seems Kat & her family are comfortable/familiar with the moderators here, can we petition to make THIS the "Official Katharine McPhee Fan Site"?

I got cut from AI forum, and I honestly don't have any idea what I did or said.
I wasn't even being defensive or anything.
I was just posting nice things about Katharine- And suddenly it wouldn't let me log on anymore.

I think alot of the other idols fans have been reporting a lot of Kat-Pack members just to get them kicked off the board.
I can't think of any other reason.

I don't care much though, people are cruel and sometimes tack-less over there.

If you post anything with a dot com address attached to it, they bleep it. Then people rewrite it with spaces and clever what-nots so it isn't picked up by their filters. They also bleep anything they think is unwholesome (evidently wholesale character assassination isn't), so if I type anything even remotely cursish (?), I go back and just type in bleep, and it leaves the bleeps alone.

I haven't been over there in a while, it just seems too chaotic. And there are too many negative threads, it's like a snakepit. This is the place to be for the true Katphans. Positive thinking for Kat is what one will find here.The members here all feel the same way about Miss McPhee. She's had my heart from the beginning. I think that's what the bashers are afraid of, the fact that Kat is extremely talented, and they feel she doesn't deserve to be there. They feel the winner should be someone with a lesser background. It doesn't matter. Taylor and Kat have both been musicians all their lives, as a few other contestants were, also. A lot of people took notice to Kat's amazing performance of "Over The Rainbow", and realized how magical of a voice she has.I do believe she is going to gain some extra votes next week as long as she goes out there and gives it everything she's got.

I've been over in the war zone for awhile. Our bretheren on the Kat boards could use our help. The bashers are vicious over there. I went on a few "Search & Destroy" missions...nobody bashes Kat, especially in her house

The flowers? They think its a big joke. I'm calling the florist monday

Gonna be off for awhile...going to a road race in Ohio...gonna miss you guys. Hold down the fort...protect our girl and her house!!

I am very new to all of this. I am not sure where the Kat boards are-are they on the AI website? Sorry all this computer stuff is still a little new to me. I definitely don't want to go there if it is negative comments about KAT. I definitely don't want to hear that negative stuff. Could someone let me know what the thread thing means also. Sorry I am very new at all this. All I know is that I am absolutely crazy about Katharine McPhee and I am praying so hard that she will be our next AI. She is the best ever. Go Kat, we love you!!!

The last time I was over at the snakepit, it seemed that there was MUCH less garbage than the time before. I wondered if they'd been on a cleanup mission or something. Someone was saying that something like 40,000 messages had simply disappeared, and people were reposting things they thought important or interesting. They even removed a thread with a reference to the story about the kid with cancer. What's wrong, too positive? Really couldn't figure that one out. I replied in the thread inquiring about it and told them two places where they could find it if they wanted to.

I try to monitor the imdb board as much as possible and bump up good posts when possible. Right after an Idol night that board moves just like all the others do, suddenly going warp speed, and posts disappear very quickly.

At this point I have changed my imdb signature line and removed the reference to Katharine and this site entirely. I have a new sigline and wonder if that will make my opinions less suspect, unless of course they just remember my screen name. I still got in a little bit of a reference, though, since I have 2 cats these days, so the quote is about cats and has a picture of one included. Let them think what they will.

OOOPS--I think I may have just gotten BANNED over there then. I was telling some folks who were dismayed at the BASHING on the AI boards how NICE it was on OTHER groups.

The mods at the official site are critical of links promoting other sites.  I often post there and it's just sad that they delete whole threads without really bothering explaining what the violation was.  The Kat Pack has had so many threads deleted these past 3 weeks that many who had stayed there has already gone past the thought of caring about the post count.  The thread deletions though is frustrating because so many relevant topics have been taken out while the more senseless and bashing threads seem to stay for no apparent reason at all.

The rose threads were removed (mostly) because it seemed to be promoting a business and had itsphone # in the thread. A mod came on the board and explained that. I thought that was logical. But it still seems odd that although EVERY ONE of the boards has a warning about bash posting at the top, the bashing is furious and nonstop. I guess they're just overworked.

For the guy who asked, isn't there a link posted on this site to the Idol website? From there you just select Forums, and then you find tons of them for AI in general, indv. contestants, former contestants, etc. I've got it on my favorites bar now so it's easier to find. If we don't have a link, just Google it. I think it's just called americanidol.com these days.

They will not allow posts containing obvious references to other websites, at least fan sites, and bleep them out. But if you retype the address and add a space here and there so it's obvious but just not in a form their filters will pick up, you can get away with it. Everyone does it.
