Good critique of everybody including Buble's performance,

Today's Idolatry Video: Haley Scarnato's Naked News!

Plus, are you as enraged as our ''Idol'' experts at Gina being voted off?

We are definitely working together -- working on a record together. She sings so magnificently, it's just amazing -David Foster-

I only got audio, but that's OK since I don't think I'd want to look at those "experts"...

I thought my favorite Haley sang great; her presentation was just a bit too campy, and probably not how she really wants to act, except that her only positive feedback was for a similar style of performance (Tell Him in the top 11). If Gilligan's Island ever goes to Broadway, though, she's a shoo-in for the Ginger role. I read on another forum that "Ain't Misbehavin'" is really about a person who claims they're faithful but isn't, so Tony Bennett's explanation may be wrong. Then again, I'm not that familiar with this song. I wish the change to the faster tempo halfway through would have lasted until the end, instead of reverting to the slower pace shortly after.

Phil sang "Night and Day" well, IMO. It was originally written as a slow song, right? I think Frank Sinatra's swinging version from the '50s is so definitive that Phil was smart to stay away from that style. Gina sang "Smile" OK, but I wouldn't call it outstanding, either. What a sadly appropriate song (lyrics-wise) to go out on. I felt bad for Gina - she was so crushed to learn she was out.

I agree with you.  That was dumb and those "experts" were kinda mean.  I defintely wouldn't want to see that video if I was one of the contestants that they were talking about.  That's cool that J. Lo is coaching next week though.  I can't wait to see what the contestants do!

Kat's Comment to me:

"Lauren,
don't worry about your gift and not getting on time. That is sooo sweet but you didn't have to do that. I really appreciate it. I read your comment and it really touched me. I'm happy you enjoyed your first season of Idol. I mostly thank you for all your support. It means more than anything. I just love that people are enjoying the music. Keep in touch and thanks again. Cute page too!

yes I am enraged gina went. she shouldve made top 6 cause people in the top 6 usually get record contracts. kellie pickler was 5th and she has a cd out. even though gina placed 9th, I hope one day we see her put a cd out.

Yeah, let's hope 'Idolatry' really did have its plug pulled. That reminds me of the "Two A-Holes" sketch on SNL...except it's at a fake water cooler in an office setting...and no gum-smacking. We already have too many smarmy shows like that on channels like E! and internet sites...

At least they showed the outrage and lack of logic in Gina going. But you'd think these media-wise people would understand why it happened rather than thinking there's a form of logic going on here. 'AI' is proving to be one wild, erratic ride sometimes...while conversely proving they don't manipulate results unless they're forced to. If Sanjaya wins, they'd likely use their clause of deciding the second-runner up to be the winner instead. That would make TV history as the first time they ever did that. I remember some people insinuating that might happen last year during a Taylor/Kat finale...with Kat being chosen the winner. Obviously, 'AI' didn't...and I don't think they really want to do that if they can help it.

Also, my mom's been livid at the insinuation here Michael Buble was drunk during his performance last Wednesday. Apparently a lot of his fans are in an uproar over that accusation...especially when many other people are inexplicably saying he was drunk. I watched it, and saw no signs of the guy being drunk at all. He apparently was up late making a music video the night before though. That call to perform on 'AI' was hastily arranged within a 12-hour period, so he did pretty well for a last-minute situation. If you were drunk, you'd probably be hanging onto the railing while running around the band.

After seeing this, I prefer our own analyses of 'AI.' I find most pundits speaking about the show take it at surface level...

Trust me; I can guarantee if Sanjaya wins the vote, AI will do nothing to stop his victory.  Sanjaya has been too good to the show to spark some needed controversy this year, and they won't  steal his victory.  I'll give the kid this... He is entertaining much more so than some of the much better singers on the show this season that are about as exciting  as watching paint dry.
