We don't post links to download the Over It video since it is available on iTunes.  And in most cases that is like reaching into Katharine's pocket and taking money out of it.

Let me say first that the iTunes Quicktime  MOV file is far and away better than anything you can get from a television capture of internet rip.  But there is no iTunes alternate ending version (as far as I know and that may change) so I can see a legit "need" to want that at least so I'm going to lay out how you can go about making an nice Over It for yourself.

If you really want to get a "free version" of the Over It video you can by ripping the online streams and converting them using Super ( a video conversion program).

This will get you up to speed on what needs to be done to get videos off the internet and onto your hard drive for you to keep.

In this case Over It is out in a bunch of versions from YouTube (~16 MB flv) up to the best version that I have seen which is a larger (~22MB) file and higher bit rate (better video).  Here are the actual URLs for the streamed flv files for the best quality ones I have seen:

You might be able to right click those and save target, but if that doesn't work use one of the download managers suggested in Rhine's blog post linked above to download it the flv stream to your hard drive.

So now you have a nice flv version of Over It to watch on the FLV Player any time you are sitting at your computer.  Get FLV player from this page here:

Oh, you don't want to be tied to the FLV player, huh?  You are looking for an iPod version or a DivX version, OK, now you need to convert that FLV file to the file type you want.  Use Super for this, get that here:

Run the installer for Super and look at the interface.  OK, it can look daunting but don't sweat it because you need to only do a few things to get started.

1. Set the output container for the type of file you want to create:  ie for and Ipod video set it for  Apple-iPod and for DivX set it for AVI

2. Choose an appropriate Output video codec  (ipod will be MPEG4 and for DivX set it for DivX, see easy)

3.  Video scale size leave at no change or upscale it you want, but the source doesn't improve so upscaling doesn't buy you much.

4. Choose a bitrate greater to the one of the source or you will degrade quality.  trippy11's version ( on posted at KMF before was running ~1700 kbps)  Remember the higher the bitrate here the better the output could be but the file gets bigger too.

5. Set the sampling freq at 44100 and the channels at 2 (stereo) and the Bitrate at 128 kbps

Drop your downloaded flv on there and hit Encode and it should convert it to whatever you set in Step 1.
