Daughtry Rock n’ roll is seldom a predictable affair. Just ask Chris Daughtry. Better yet, examine the very public arc the enigmatic musician carved against the grain of American Idol, electrifying the show’s faithful audience with a gloves-off vocal style that revealed astonishing breadth with every new song. Dashboard Confessional “Tom Petty, Springsteen, Neil Young, and Pearl Jam…these are the people I look to,” says Chris Carrabba, the creative force behind Dashboard Confessional. “They do what they want and follow their hearts, going wherever their music is taking them. I look to those guys, and I start to think: how does it work for them? What were they holding on to, and do I hold on to that as well?” Click for more!
Augustana So we had a bio up for a long time that someone else wrote for us, and we felt like it was outdated, and not relevant to who we actually are today and were yesterday...so here's a VERY short summary of the past 4 years up til now... Click for more!
Katharine McPhee In elementary school, sixth-grader Katharine sang Mariah Carey’s “Hero” even though she was extremely nervous to sing on stage. But she had a good role model, as she would go to the shows her mother starred in, including “Showboat” and “Man of La Mancha.” Click for more!
HA! Chris & Katharine together again! COOL! And they performed at this place on the Idol Tour as well. I wish they'd give Katharine a more punchy description. I know it's just the beginning of her "story" from her publicity materials but you'd think they could use something about her having a #2 debut album...singing her hit "Over It", etc, etc.
Daughtry, Katharine, Dashboard Confessional and Augustana. I'm guessing more will be added although if it's only four acts, Kat would get a good chunk of time on stage. Given how things are going I'd bet Kat would be second on stage. They'd open with one of the rock bands. Daughtry will close since he rules the world right now. They'd have to add a few more "Pop" acts to round this out I'd think.
