Now, she responds a few days later and says not only will she send me an autograph, but she also wants my phone number and e-mail address! So a couple wednesdays ago she calls me on my phone!

We talk for a good two or three mintutes. She couldn't have been sweeter and more sincere. She told me how brave I was and that she's hoping to hear how I'm doing down the line, all that stuff, and we talk about the competition and I was constantly congratulating her (I'm such a nerd, heh.), but she couldn't have been nicer.

Then she sent me the autograph a week or two later.

So for all of you who think Katherine thinks she's above everyone else, or is snobby, you couldn't have been farther from the truth. And whether it was sincere or not, she took the time to actually do it. And that, in my eyes is very admirable. I'll never forget it, and she gave little old me a huge gift.

That is insanely touching . I love how Katharine takes time for her fans. She didn't have to do a darn thing to this guy, but she went above and beyond.

I posted this earlier. Guess we both liked it. Max has been sticking up for her at the imdb a lot. Another one of those toxic environments. I ignore what I can, but sometimes I just have to jump in and say something silly or sarcastic because things have gone beyond the pale. I tried repeatedly bumping his post and a couple of others to keep something positive on the first page, but things have been moving really fast over there lately, just like the Idol boards. These little gems sink right down to page 10 in a hurry.

Oops sorry... where's your thread? Didn't realize that you posted it earlier.

This kind of positive threads about Kat need to be bumped, to let our beloved visitors see the true Katharine.

So many famous people dont do things like that. I mean, she could have just sent an autograph for him, and he would have been happy and all. But she wanted to do something more...and thats great!

Has Max ever come here? If not, you should invite him to drop in and see what a positive, supportive, troll-free environment is like.

That is amazingly sweet. I don't visit any forums but this one. I am aware of the backlash towards Katharine, and I don't think I could stand to read it. It'd make me sad: I hate to see such harsh comments against any of the contestants, they are people too! I remember reading some of the comments about Vonzell, Bo, and Carrie last season, and I just wanted to gag.

Isn't she a sweetie? Such a gracious and compassionate young lady. Look at how she treats animals and pets and you'll get a pretty good idea of her heart. With her qualities, she can be as stuck up as she wants. But instead, she shows her genuine love to those who have the opportunity to meet her. I've never heard anyone who has met her saying negative things about her other than those lifeless trolls who continuously demonstrating their jealousy, low self-esteem, and evil thoughts.

I couldn't say enough of this ... KAT IS REALLY AMAZING ... she's so sweet and very2 down to earth ... She remembers and appreciate all of her fans ... That's why I just don't understand all of those bashers out there ...

awwwwwww... thats so sweet! despite her busy life during the competition she still not forget her fans.
Shes very nice and lovely.. the more we know her.. the more she reveal how woderful amazing person... Kat is!

Woah... that just shows what kind of person she is. Max asked for an encyclopedia and she gave him the whole damn volume and series. She's just great. I mean, she didn't really have to do it... it's not like it'll be covered in the news or something but she did. Great... I just love the fact that she takes time to recognize her fans. I bet she would talk to each and every one of the McPhans if she can. She has an awesome personality.

Wow Max, that story brought tears to my eyes. We lost our Mom to Lymphoma 2 years ago, I am really happy to hear you are on the road to recovery. Thanks also for sharing the story of Kat reaching out to you, Im sure you wont forget it, and neither will we. What a great gift music is! Thanks Max
