For those who use DialIdol to follow "predictions", please don't be alarmed that they have Katharine ranked last this week! Just look at today's predictions - does anyone really think that Lisa is in no danger of leaving after being in the bottom 3 two weeks in a row?! Or that Bucky could be ahead of Katharine after himself appearing previously in the bottom 3? Forget the "79%" accuracy they claim for the site. First off, it cannot track text votes, and (by the programmers own admission) mistakenly counts "false" busy signals as positive activity for a contestant. Secondly, if you notice, they have FIVE contestants listed as potentially being voted off this week, and if any one of those 5 does in fact leave, they count that as a "correct prediction"! In other words, they've given themselves a 50/50 chance of being "accurate" this week. In reality, there have been weeks when DialIdol has even had the top and bottom places reversed! I don't think that the programmers have any malicious intent, since they themselves admit that their ranking system isn't scientific and has flaws (my words), and are still looking for a better system. Having said that, I'm still a little uneasy with the fact that the speed dialing functionality "automatically" fills in the phone numbers for you.
