That was a wonderful, heartfelt message from her tonight. But that feeling of isolation in her hotel room makes me worry about the future and her being shut away from people the bigger a star she becomes. Gee, doesn't she at least have a security guard she can gab with around the immediate vicinity? And I'm sure Nena understands English by now. I guess that's what cell phones are for...and it makes the video blogs more personal.

I'm impartial to the Super Bowl this year--but I only watch for the commercials and halftime show every year anyway. The only time I'd ever care is if the Seahawks were in there, and they bit the dust this year. Most games each year are entertaining enough...though I think Kat should have been there to sing the National Anthem. I'm sure she'll be asked next year when she's a household name.

Oh, and Kat should act in a commercial during the Super Bowl someday. Maybe she and Kellie belching out the Bud...weis...er...thing that hasn't been used in an ad campaign for a while. Just imagine if they'd advertise Kat's CD during that prime viewing time? That was the only thing missing in this monumental promotional campaign. You can almost say Kat didn't need a spot on the Super Bowl because everything else was available.

Yes, Kat's MySpace is becoming like a busy city in there the last couple of weeks. You even have typical big-city muggers in there...and I was already off-handedly attacked by one of them.

That is a very sweet video. How can you not be a fan after watching that. Oh, hopefully someday she will be singing at the Superbowl or maybe a Kat/Kellie commercial like Greg suggested...

That was so sweet!! It actually made me want to cry!!

I know it's silly but Kat just tugs at the heartstrings! We all feel so personally involved in her journey to success! The video blogs are such a great way to stay in touch with us and I think it's incredible that she takes the time to do it. Especially when her schedule is so crazy right now!!!

Gosh, I hope and pray that album is selling!! I don't want Kat to be disappointed with the numbers. Once OVER IT is at the top of the charts, a hit single will really give the album legs and attract lots of new fans. The music video will be a huge help too!! I can't wait!! When will we hear the numbers for first week sales and what time frame does that cover? I'm new to all of this chart business!!!

I'm hoping the sales are where they should be for her, too. It was a little jarring to hear her pushing so hard for them. She deserves the success, and I'm urging everyone I know to get the CD.

Does any other star talk with their fans like they're long-time and trusted friends? Kat is so remarkable.

Greg, you make me laugh. LOL
Suddenly, I felt like Kat's Myspace is the new NYC from your description.

Anyway, I agree with your idea about what is lacking in the whole promotional campaign---the advantage of the superbowl anthems and ads, if you will. The management team might have been too late or totally missed out on it. But as long as they have other lucrative plans, it would still be as good.
Movie actors like Paul Newman, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Bette Davis make me want to live in the era they lived but I could have been just as inspired even now while I watch their work in films.
