I know she really did....that was a funny little scene too. I love America, she's so adorable and Kat looked stunning as ever! She did a good job with her lines too.....Hello Hollywood!! Did you guys ever wonder what would happen if Katharine became the next Julia Roberts or some HUGE star in Hollywood?? I know she's our HUGE star, but that's going to be so cool watching all of this happen....I have no doubt that it will.

And at 8:56, some guy is whispering in her ear! Almost missed it posting this! haha It's the kind of scene that gets taken out of context and splashed across the tabloids! Well, maybe when she's bigger than Jennifer Aniston - Next year!!!

you can watch it at ABC.com I think I just heard that....and they had a few more quick shots of Kat too in the audience of the fashion show. Who was smooching Kat's neck?? That's quite the extra role isn't it?? I bet that guy wasn't complaining about not having any lines LOL haha

She was only on for like five minutes, but it was so wierdly funny. How she was freaking out that Katharine McPhee was standing right in front of her, how she said that she was a huge Idol fan, and how she said that she had McPheever. That was so funny!!!

I don't have a dvd burner on my computer or I'd cap it for you. It was about three quick shots. It was so cool to see her there. How many other Idols have been on a major network show before? I'm curious. I know Lisa did something on NICK and a major show, And Kelly Clarkson was on Reba...anyone else? This was kind of cool.

I wish Kat would have spoken more than a few lines on the show--but even if she did nothing but charades, it would have brightened up the whole screen. It was sort of stunning how brief her appearance was. Though Kat did a good job of acting believable as herself. She found just the right balance in not putting too much acting into it--yet still identifying herself as the way she is in real life.

Did you notice the signed CD she handed to Betty there? I see others on MySpace were noticing that it was a prop and not the actual CD cover at all. I was trying to figure out what that cover was (something yellow...but not the bumblebee sweater shot at all) and I'm thinking it was just a blank cover with some kind of basic graphics that would make it look like something was there. Too bad they couldn't get a copy of her real CD and have some way of holding it up to the screen. Though Kat has already had her cover prominently shown on 'Today' and 'R&K' (plus the Target ad). I bet we'll be getting people blowing up that scene, though, and trying to see just what that cover is.

Yes, that guy seen leaning in to Kat was just whispering in her ear. I don't know how many guys would have the guts to do that at a fashion show event (apparently Nick wasn't there in the 'Ugly Betty' universe)--but it makes you wonder how that scene actually played out in full. Actors usually just do things to show activity when they aren't actually saying anything. If nothing else, they could have put up a balloon coming from the guy's mouth saying 'Buy Katharine's CD! And No, I'm Not Blowing In Her Ear!"

By the way, this was my first watching of 'UB'--and I didn't know it was an hour. Pretty clever dialogue all the way around (yes, America Ferrera is great) and showing how Dramadies are still popular.

Wasn't the guy who whispered something in Katharine's ear that made her laugh the guy that was trying to pick up Rebecca Romijn earlier in the episode?  The one who made the dollar bet on who could sleep with the hottest girl in the room?  I think it was.  And if that's the case...that's really cool.  That he gave up on Rebecca after finding out that story and went for Katharine.

I notice he wasn't sitting next to her when you saw her two more times after that watching the fashion show.  Must have shot him down.  Go Kat Go!
