Can't believe it's the 10th year of this show!

The season opener was filmed in NJ,but there were singers from all around the northeast.Loved Steven and Jennifer and the rapport they had with each other and Randy.Steven was more thoughtful than I thought he'd be and Jen was adorable and quite sensitive to the emotions of the contestants.Maybe some people should have been nays for Hollywood,but otherwise,there were some very talented young teens.

I know! And it's been FIVE years since Kat was on the show. I'm loving Jennifer Lopez on the show, aren't you? As long as a voice change doesn't give him too much trouble, I predict that 15 y.o. Jaycee Badeaux from Louisiana will definitely be one to watch. That kid sings like an angel.

Totally agree re:Jennifer!I recall how she was previously such a wonderful mentor on Idol.She brings such sweet sincerity,humor and caring to the table.....and she is gradually learning to be frank with the contestants who demonstrate a distinct lack of talentAlso fun to see Jenn's innovative outfits,hair and make up changes..after all,she is a true red carpet/Hollywood/NY fashionista!

I'm really enjoying this season so far.  The new judges have made it feel fresh because lately the audition shows had become pretty boring really.  We'll see how Steven & Jennifer do on the live shows...Steven will have to watch himself on those but I'm sure he'll be alright.  And while Jennifer doesn't really wow you with anything she says...she's kinda Paula minus the hard to understand ramblings.  And well it'll be fun to see what she's wearing and all that stuff because she's pretty decent to look at. 

Then my favorite part so far is........................it looks like we might, might, might have some good girly girls!  Yay!  Please just give me one beautiful & talented girl to root for.  Pretty please!

Oh one question...why is Adam Lambert in the opening sequence?  Is there anyone else that didn't win in there?  When I saw him the first time I thought, "Oh, maybe they are including the runner ups!"  Not as far as I can tell.  Anyway...

Fine..they'll include Kat when her TV show is winning Emmys then!
