The rationale seemed to be that anyone could have played Amber but only JB could have played his role.


Been thinking about this this week (I know, get a life ). And I think it was not so much only JB could play his role, but that Jack Black was playing Jack Black, whereas Kat was actually playing Amber.

Except for you guys, I don't know anyone else with quite the same kind of hobby. Well, there was a woman at a previous job who was a huge fan of Matchbox 20 - maybe even a fan club president. I can't really remember what I thought about that at the time, but I think it was less than fully supportive.

Maybe a lot of people don't want to admit it... heh heh... i'm sure there's a lot of closeted fandom out there. Sometimes I feel silly telling people I'm a compulsive Idol watcher, but it's surprising how many people respond with "Really? Me too!" That's a safer place to start than telling them I'm a regular at a McPhan site.

Well we got off topic.  

I can't seem to find a good word for Kat. I'm a fan and she is my ??? Idol? Don't like saying that. But if I'm talking about her ("I was looking at Feeding America's website and I saw my [idol] there.") I don't always know how to explain why I'm talking about her. Of course, I'm just talking about my hobby so maybe I should say that! ("I was looking at Feeding America's website and I saw my [hobby] there.")
