Wearing Elie Saab, hair may be courtesy of LawnBoy, not sure... but the dress is pretty.
Apparently she was the guest of Anna Wintour of Vogue, which as someone explained
to me is the equivalent of being asked by Miranda Priestley, which I finally got. Fashion
is not my strong point.

I saw that interview on the red carpet and was suprised, as they weren't interviewing a lot of people. She was her sweet self with that incrediblely short interviewer...eyes right at boob level! ...and he spent plenty of time with her. The dress looked nice, but I think she might have had problems with her hair. They still seemed to take lots of photographs. I feel so bad about the hair as she was so looking forward to this...she still looked beautiful to me. |

I know, everybody dresses to the nines for this thing evidently, so they find just the right dress, etc.,
and then somebody styles her hair like they dried it in a microwave. Good thing she's gorgeous enough
to survive stuff like that and still look good. |

Katharine McPhee added a touch of Elie magic to the red carpet at the 2012 Met Gala, held in New York City on Monday evening.
The ‘Smash’ actress looked sensational donning this coral hue.
Her gorgeous curves are caressed by this fully embroidered Elie Saab Spring 2012 gown with a deep square neckline which is accented by a matching belt.
A wavy updo, gold jewels and a bronze Christian Louboutin minaudière completed her statuesque red-carpet look.

I was just looking at the Red Carpet Fashion Awards and she does indeed look better than
the picture of the model next to her. Of course the model has on her "Marine Corps Basic
Training Graduation Photo" face and looks like she wouldn't break stride if Moses parted
the Red Sea in front of her. Katharine looks like a real human being. |

I saw the full length photos first (from Twitter) and I must confess I did not notice her hair.

In a lot of the photos she seems to be standing against a dark background and her hair
just blends right into it. You almost have to see a shot from another angle other than head-on.
In some of them it looks frizzier than others. The face, however, could still launch a thousand ships. |
