5-STAR REVIEW (ATLANTA CONCERT) by a Taylor fan:
An excerpt from Jena's recap of the Atlanta concert*
.....When the boys left, I started looking for Taylor. I totally forgot about Kat. I was surprised to hear someone else singing. There she was, at the top of the walkway. Black dress, as you know, stolen from her mothers closet to match her black soft cast. I think her other foot was shoeless. I saw toes and skin peaking out and she was walking all over the hem. Obviously she was to be wearing heels with the dress.
What I wasn’t expecting was how much I enjoyed it. Yes, I did. She was having fun, chuckling that deep, throaty goofy chuckle that seems so wrong coming out of that beautiful face. The band seemed to be loving her as well. She did her little speech and Atlanta gave her such an abundance of love that I swear she got misty eyed. Maybe it was fake.
When she started SOTR, Leather Queen Chris nudged me and motioned for me to look over my shoulder. What I saw were little girls everywhere standing on chairs, holding their mom’s hands or clutching “I love you Kat” posters. They all had magic twinkles in their eyes. Just like they were watching a fairy princess, they were in a trance. Kat knew it and did not disappoint her little fans. She would point and wave little personal waves, acknowledge as many as she could see. She would mouth or motion “I love you too” without that fake look on her face. She really was into this y’all. She did not disappoint.
I got so wrapped up in it and so moved by the whole thing, at the end I stood and cheered and waved my hands above my head like a crazy person. Hey! I was a little girl once! Honest to God, I had to bite my tongue to keep myself from screaming “I LOVE YOU KAT!”. At that moment, I really did.

Another five-star review and five-star picture from Atlanta Shooting Star, posted on the AI board regarding her Altanta concert tour experience. I was there. I was sitting or rather standing and screaming, right in the front row, dead center. Kat along with each other Idol was standing just a few feet in front of me as they performed (when they weren't moving around of course) First I want to say I am a Taylor fan, or so I believed. I now can say without a doubt that I love each and every one of them. I am so proud of all these young people. I had the best time of my life last night! Now for Kat. I met Kat before the show at the meet and greet along with all the other Idols. When I got to Kat I looked into her eyes and saw just how vulnerable she truly is. Last night as I looked at her, I saw a truly beautiful young girl who is very very vulnerable. There is a sadness in her eyes that you just don't see in pictures or on TV. But in person? It was like looking into a fawn's eyes. That might sound corny and I apologize if it does. But something touched my heart immediately. I asked her how her foot was and she simply replied "awwwwww" as if no one had asked that yet and a tear formed in the corner of her eye. She then smiled so I could take her picture and I smiled back and told her she was so pretty. That's about all that would come out of my mouth. She is stunningly beautiful. On stage she was very disappointed that she could not do more than two songs. I can't remember if she said why but the impression I got was that they did not want her over doing it up there. She was moving around quite a bit and should be commended because she kept up with the others and she even showed us her boot thing that was on her foot. Taylor by the way seems very very protective of her. On stage he was right behind her and seemed to ready should she lose her balance. He even hopped a couple of steps as she did. She had to because of her foot of course but he kind of played it off like a dance..lol. I thought that was cute. Since I was in the very front I don't know what happened behind me. Whether someone was drunk and rude back there, I just don't know. I have seen alot of ugly comments made in the media about Kat and last night and I can tell you they are completely wrong. She teared up on stage, yes, but she was hearing the screams of many many of her fans and it was overwhelming. You could see it in her face. I screamed just as loud as any of her die hard fans. I wanted her to know 'this mom' was very very proud of her. (I felt like a proud mom of all these wonderful young people) I screamed her name then and she glanced down at me and I just smiled back a big smile. She saw me and smiled too You Kat fans can be very proud of that young lady. Hang in there with her no matter what any one says. Just be there for her. She is going to go far. Remember she is young, so very young. I did not realize how young until I saw into her eyes. Another little update from Shooting StarTaylor and Kat were sitting at the end of the table. As we appoached the Idols we were told what we could and could not do, and they all were sitting at a long table. She did not lean towards or hang all over Taylor, however you could tell that they were some how seperate from the others. They would talk to each other, lean towards each other as they talked. But there was no sign that Kat was hanging all over him in any way that I could see. Taylor to me seemed protective of her. I can't really pin point any one thing he did at the meet and greet that told me that. It was just the general perception I had. But I would say it was more like a big brother kind of thing. Like I said, when you look into her eyes you can see how vulnerable she is. I assume like any gentleman, Taylor is just being brotherly. I did not pick up any other kind of vibes between them. Kat is quite the lady if you ask me. She has class and she holds her head up high no matter what. I really did get a whole new perspective on her last night. My heart just nearly broke seeing her. Like I said, it must be the mom in me. I was just so proud of her and all of them really. Having watched them all season, we all feel like they are family. They are a great bunch! Czar -- that pic should be in the DVD with text of "It was like looking into a fawn's eyes. Something touched my heart immediately" somehow running across the screen or incorporated * this has been edited to get rid of anything not really pertaining to kat or that the family or friends don't need to see ie " Now I admit I have seen and read and heard alot of negative comments
about her. I have tried my best not to fall into judging her myself.
But" |

With regard to the DVD... I think perhaps we'd want an opening that draws parallels to Kat's in the audition, singing crying and kat's first Concert performance, singing and crying.
Maybe it's just Audition/crying and then cuts out the Black Horse and the Cherry tree performance, and saves it for later, and instead goes from crying to a fade out to black.... black screen...*loud applause from DC concert*....fade in visual...kat being touched and crying.... then goes to intro title screen or credits or whatever. |

Wow, that is a great idea. Hmmm.. but that's gonna be a little hard for me to do. No worries! I'll put in all my efforts and I'm gonna make that possible. This would be a little challenging... I like it though |

Not a five-star video but this is kat doing the "McHop" in Columbia, SC, in "Living in America"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ESYIEMcxJtE
It should be on the Columbia page. The one thing we have to do is put these videos in context, so rather than just saying "Living in American, Columbia" it should be "Kat doing the McHop in Living in America, Columbia, SC" type deal.
Same with Kat's dedication to Kellie for Rainbow. The text should indicate the special element of the video so people can easily identify that's the video that she did the dedication. |

Sunrise, Florida concert Photos from coolbeanshttp://katharinefans.com/Forums/tabid/92/forumid/4/postid/45140/view/topic/Default.aspx Full Recap from coolbeans on IDF: I'm just going to fast foward to Katharine's portion of the show because this is already getting too long and I still need to upload the pictures to Photobucket. Basically, she was awesome. I wasn't expecting her to come out because I thought the girls had a group number before her (do they?) and they didn't have one tonight. So she comes out singing BHACT and ughhh, that song kills me everytime. She had this long black dress on and it pretty much covered her feet, but I could tell she was barefoot and you could see a tiny bit of the boot she had on. She didn't walk around much, but she did dance around where she was standing. She said that she thinks she likes FL more than CA. And then she said that the next song she was going to sing would be her last because of doctor's orders...you could hear some the disappointment in the crowd, but she said she'd definitely make up for it when she tours on her own in the future. Then, SOTR...AMAZING! I think she sounded better than she did on the show...and that's hard for me to say because I cried when she sang it for the first time on AI. Everyone kept cheering for her when she hit the high notes...I almost died. Then at the end, she got a standing ovation...it literally gave me chills seeing everyone standing cheering and clapping for her like that...it was amazing and the best (and I think the only standing ovation of the night for a solo performer). So then we have Living in America...homegirl was limping like crazy. When she climbed up to the higher level of the stage, she had to have Paris help her (she grabbed onto her hand or arm) up and down it. I felt so bad for her because you could tell she was having a hard time walking around and she had a very noticeable limp, especially when she was walking off the stage, but she was a trooper and stayed out there till the very end and even leaned out to shake someone's hand on the floor. After the grand finale, the lights came back on and we made our way to the section where all the people were gathering for the aftershow. I admit it, I got giddy when I put that sticker on my shirt...like, ridiculously giddy. We sat around for a few minutes before one of the security guys came and got us and took us backstage. They walked us into this room where all of the idols except for Bucky, Kellie, Taylor, and Lisa were (Lisa and Taylor came out later...but they both left rather quickly). I went straight to Katharine first and there were already some people in front of me. She was sitting behind a table wearing a black tank top and this short, white summer-y skirt. She is TINY in person (not heightwise)...and SO gorgeous! I think it was around the time when I was waiting to meet her when I spotted Nick standing in the back of the room. He would talk occasionally to some guy (who I think was either family or a friend of one of the other idols)...but he kept to himself most of the time. When I'm about two people from Katharine, I call Jess and keep her on speakerphone, checking every 5 seconds to make sure she was still on the line. Sooo I finally get up to Kat and I am speechless at first, I whispered a "Hi" and I gave her my tour book to sign. I told her it was an amazing show and then I asked her if she'd say hi to my friend on the phone. I was about to tell her Jess's name, but she'd already gone "Helloooo!". So when I told her her name, she whispers "Hey Jess." I asked her for a picture and she stood up, leaned on the table and I leaned in and my friend snapped the picture. I thanked her and went on to the rest of the idols...but that was hands down the best moment of the night. BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!! When we had met all the idols we walked out of the room so we could be escorted out of the backstage area. Katharine had already left the room by that time and we saw her standing just outside with Nick and some other guy talking. My friend and I were going to tell her good-bye, but chickened out at the last moment. But I didn't realize she was there at first, so imagine my surprise when I turn around and see Katharine standing a few feet away from me. Yeah, I pretty much died. |

A second recap from Riella at IDF.
So I came up to her and I was really shaking bad, I was so nervous. Kat's even more gorgeous in person, and that's still an understatement. heart.gif So she spoke up first, since I couldn't say a word. " alt="blushing.gif" border="0">
Kat: Hey there! (gives this really cute smile) Me: Heyyy Kat, I'm Riella. I'm sorry, i'm really nervous. Kat: Awww it's okay. Riella? That's a beautiful name. You're really pretty too. Me: (I was speecheless for a while) Wow thanks. That's such a huge compliment coming from you. Would you mind signing this for me? Kat: How do you spell your name? *giggles* Me: R-I-E-L-L-A Kat: R-I-E-L-L-A (says it aloud while signing, it was so cute! then she gives it back to me) Me: Thanks a lot! Oh by the way, i'm a half-filipina, so i'm from this fan group called the "McPheenoys" of the Philippines. You have fans all over the world. Kat: (looks flattered then smiles) Awww wow! Tell them I say hi! Me: Thanks a whole lot Katharine. Kat: No, thank you. Me: Can we take a picture? Kat: Sure.
Then she stands up and puts her arm around me and we take a picture |

Can we begin every post here that contains new materials with the city to which they refer? When I am making the webpages I just want to be able to search on the city name and find all the materials. Most posts do have this, some don't. TY! |

Can all those involved in this project email me (from my profile) and I'll get back to you with login id and password. There will be a few generic login/pw combos for proejct members and the McPhees and everyone will be able to sign up to have their own login and pw and to accept email notifications. |

My only suggestion would be to add some color just because Kat's got a very colorful personality and we want to capture that. Black and white is very photo/memory like though!

Thanks! Although, it turned out wrong when I posted it on GoFish. But anyways you get the idea.
Okay, then I'll work on the first set of concerts.
I'll post previews for all of you to see, so that I can get feedback. |
