Even though I'm new in terms of registering for this forum, I'm pretty much guilty for lurking for up until now. I figured that I'd finally give in and make a screen name since you all seem so nice and I didn't want to miss out on the fun. Anyway, my name's Erica. I'm nineteen and from Northern California which is pretty boring since all we have are grapes around here. I've been a proud Katharine fan ever since I was left jaw dropped after seeing her initial audition in January. I voted for her and Chris Daughtry throughout the American Idol 5 Season, and initially wanted those two to be in the top two together. I couldn't be more happier when our girl was given the chance to participate in the finale, but, what more can I say, I guess I wanted the finale to have gone by a little bit differently than planned.
I had the wonderful oppertunity to meet Katharine, Chris, Elliott, Ace, Paris and Taylor at two of the California shows (Sacramento and San Jose). I met two of you posters here. I forget your names so you'll have to excuse me for not remembering since it was nearly two months ago. Thank you for the orange glowsticks. I gave some to this little girl sitting by me and we waved them around to Chris and Katharine's sets. It was too much fun. I have media of the San Jose concert (from Bucky's set on) from my Sony ICD-B300 IC Recorder. If you're interested in certain songs, let me know:
Chris Daughtry - Renegade
American Idol Guys - Patience (Please ignore the "Erica! Erica!" part. The little girl I gave the glowsticks felt it was absolutely necessary to call out my name during one of my favorite songs. I forgive her since she was adorable and was under the impression that I was best friends with the Idols after showing her my pictures, when I clearly stated that I wasn't ;))
Katharine McPhee - BHATCT
Katharine McPhee - Think
Katharine McPhee - SOTR
American Idols - Champions
American Idol Top 10 - Living in America
I was lucky enough to meet all the guys (with the exception of Bucky, which I won't beat myself up over) before both shows. I don't think I've ever shook more in my life considering the fact that first celebrity I've met in my life ended up being Chris. He saw that I was shaking, walked over and wrapped his arms around me before jokingly saying "You're shakin' because of me?!" I could have died and gone to heaven right then and there.
I know that it may be my bias speaking, but Katharine has got to be one of the kindest people I've ever met in my life. I didn't think that I'd get lucky enough to catch Katharine after the show since she didn't come out by the buses earlier in the day, so you can only imagine the initial shock in my face as she came closer and closer. I managed to blurt out that she had, "a cute shirt," which she locked eyes with me upon hearing, replying "Thank you, baby. Yours is pretty cute too!!" with the giddiest grin ever. I had this black Team Daughtry tank top (that the security guard held a flashlight to so she could see better,) and I couldn't be more amused that she actually liked it. I was one of the only people who said something to her in my area since I'm assuming everyone was just too transfixed by the beauty that is Katharine to say anything coherant. There was a lady who stood not too far from me and asked Kat how her leg was doing, and Kat absolutely beamed and told her that she was feeling a lot better. She seemed generally touched to meet every one of us despite that, with the exception of me and the lady, we were a shy crowd.
She ended up signing a copy of her single for me (it is hanging on my wall!!!) and my phone. It was hilarious because she started to squint really bad at my pink razr phone, and started laughing goofly as she proceeded to say, "Gosh, I can't even see it!" while she blindly signed away. I think I thanked her about five million times within the time she was near me. I got another, "You're welcome, sweetie" before the security pushed her along to hurry up since other fans were getting antsy.

I have other pictures that I'll try and upload a little later.

Oh gosh, I had to mention this because it's far too amazing not to. Chris came by shortly after Katharine , sporting Ace's beanie since it couldn't be more freezing outside, and remembered me from earlier. He signed my tourbook and pretty much rubbed my arm with the biggest grin on his face. He said something like, "Is the shakin' because of me or because you're cold, this time?" I think I just about died that night.
I didn't mean for this to be too much of a concert recap, so I'll end this here. It's really nice to finally be here. I couldn't be more excited about finally being an official member. I hope to get to know you all better!
