I'm not worried. Katharine will be back to her natural brunette color in no time. If she wanted to change her hair color, though, I wish she would've gone darker. To me, it looks better and more natural for someone with light-colored hair to go dark, rather than the other way around.

I'll admit here that I'm one of those poor, lost, tortured souls. I think I'm still in the period of denial and that's why I'm withholding my final judgment hoping for some better, higher quality, and less extreme pictures that we have seen so far. Shocked and heartbroken are the two words that came to my mind when I first saw the new pics. This is also a good place to voice my opinion since I don't want to create a huge controversy in the main forum stealing all the excitement from the album release.

I know, I know, I am old fashioned and outdated. There must be a reason why I'm a fan of Kat but not of Allison Iraheta. I really hope but I doubt I can get used to it. The image she embedded in my mind during idol and moments after was so perfect that any deviations from her true appearance would be considered a flaw, or disappointment.

Of course, who am I to judge understanding that she's young, innovative, and unpredictable. Am I still a fan? No doubt, as I love her way more than how she looks. I just hope that she is not going too far and soon returns as the "original" Kat. If she really had cut her hair that short, it's gonna be a very long time for us to see her long dark hair again.
